Dual Diagnosis
Dual Diagnosis
Signs and Symptoms of a Dual Diagnosis
- Isolating from friends and family
- Struggling to maintain normal daily activities and routines
- Engaging in risky or illegal behaviors
- Increasing tolerance for alcohol or drugs
- Irregular sleeping schedules
What are Co-Occurring Disorders?
A co-occurring disorder is similar to a dual diagnosis in that it usually refers to two or more health issues occurring simultaneously. However, co-occurring disorders refer to mental health issues that result from or contribute to the development of an addiction.
Our Dual Diagnosis Treatment Programs
Silver Pines helps each client struggling with a dual diagnosis realize they aren’t alone. We also teach our clients to challenge the shame they have carried, believing something inherently wrong with them. While engaging and interacting with their peers in treatment, each client learns that although they may use different coping mechanisms, the reasons they feel the need to cope are often very similar.
At Silver Pines, we offer the following dual diagnosis treatment programs, which incorporate individualized, holistic, and therapeutic support throughout each level of care.
