What Are Bath Salts?

Despite popular belief, bath salts aren’t the same as the salts that you put into your bathtub. Many people mistakenly think that people smoke the salts that they’re supposed to add to bath water. However, the bath salts substance is completely different. In reference to drugs, bath salts refer to synthetic cathinones. A cathinone is a specific stimulant that naturally comes from the khat plant. This plant grows in southern Arabia and East Africa. Of course, bath salts are much more likely to cause addiction than their natural counterpart. These drugs are also more powerful, which makes it easier to overdose on them.
